“ Best authentic tapas restaurant in London I have tried. Owned by an older Spanish gentleman. I have enjoyed many great tapas meals in Spain and this is of the same standard, hard to find real Spanish food in the UK. People complain mostly about the service or the owner. English people have a different expectation of service, in Spain there is a more relaxed attitude, so I think this is why people are complaining about the service... but I would rather have good food, and less service than good service but bad food, if you are a foodie, you must try this place.... it's a shame people people put bad reviews based off of the service, the food is exquisite and I don't have a problem with the service. Highly Recommended! ”

“ Lovely little gem in Putney! Beautifully cooked, genuine Spanish food is so hard to come by in London but this place nailed it. The waitress was super helpful at answering our questions and anything she couldn’t answer was directed to the owner who was cooking solo in the kitchen. Had a really nice chat with both of them when settling up the bill at closing. Will be back in the not too distant future to try the rest of the menu! ”

“ Had lunch here today. A really wonderful Putney restaurant. Chef and owner Pepe makes everything from scratch - avoid all those chain restaurants which ship in pre-cooked meals, come here and have a proper well-cooked and delicious lunch. ”

“ Lovely hidden gem. Met a local who suggested we go here for lunch. Had the croquets and then a wonderful pork chop as a table d'hote for £12 per person. Amazing value, the pork chop was divine and probably worth twice that on its own. ”

“ The welcome was very lacking, and they were clearly understaffed. Although they made room for two, they refused to take our order until everyone else ahead of us had been served, even though the other groups seemed more interested in chatting and drinking than ordering. Despite being okay with waiting due to the busy night, our requests were repeatedly denied until we insisted. However, the hot tapas, specials, and main courses tasted excellent and homely and very reasonably priced, hence the 4* instead of 1. They could definitely improve their order management and service. ”

Great service from start to finish and a good choice of tapas and good portions to share. The wine was light and refreshing and the chorizo and goats cheese pepper was delicious. Definately worth coming back to this hidden gem. ”

My friend and I visited on a Monday night and we had such a warm welcome and absolutely delicious food there were only two staff on and the waitress was training so the chef was multi tasking but everything was still absolutely superb! We had such a laugh with them. The food was so delicious - pan con tomate was amazing! If you want a truly authentic tapas experience in London - this is it! ”
